Walking!!

Cooper At Work My hubby and a wreath I made
Cooper at the park

I hate to say it...only because this means my baby boy is growing up but he is now WALKING!! It seems like it just happened over night but now he is wobbling around everywhere. He occasionally cheats when he is trying to get somewhere faster by crawling but overall he is preferring to walk. I'm pretty sure I will be regretting my famous last words of "I can't wait until he walks"! But, right now I am enjoying the newness of the situation and catch myself constantly smiling in awe, the realization of how much I am already proud of him.

Turkey Day!

Wow...We had an amazing Turkey Day! Cooper is such a big boy now he had his first bite of turkey and dressing (HE LOVED IT). We spent time with amazing friends and family and enjoyed every minute of it. Cooper Had his 9 month check-up on Wednesday and he is in the top 90% of head, weight and height measurements. He is picking up his own food now and enjoying the table food I slip in every now and then. He is still attempting to walk...He will walk using his walking lion stop and take a few steps and then drop to his hinney. I'm positive he will have this walking thing mastered in no time. Hope every ones Turkey Day was fabulous and I'm so excited about Christmas!

What a Feeling!

I didn't do a Halloween post...so here is a picture of my precious little monster and my handsome hubby!

So today was one of those days where I bet little Coop wished he could just go back to bed and start over. Poor Coop slept rough and played rough all day long. It seems like everything he touched had the crash and burn effect. As a first time mommy I would assume my reaction to this kind of day would be to take on the fetal position and cry for help too. But instead my reaction to all of this sudden neediness made my heart swell with happiness. I realized today in the middle of teething, tummy aches and carpet crashes that I wasn't just needed by my baby anymore, but it was the first time I felt completely wanted by him. Of course as mommy's we are always needed for things like feeding and cleaning, but to hear my angel cry mommy for the first time and want only his mommy to make his world right again...wow what a feeling! I HAVE THE BEST JOB IN THE WORLD!!
